Do samsung make good laptops?

Q: I'm in Korea I need to buy a laptop and the only company people trust here is the native one (Samsung), they tell me that other companies are often faked but Samsung are careful to crack down on it. Therefore I think Samsung might be my only safe option.

A: I for one like Samsung mainly because I have used their products for years and liked them over Sony. However, Samsung has yet to show their faces in the laptop scene in N. America. Most retailers out here mainly sell Dell, Acer, Sony, Toshiba (my choice),
